Hotel was a good location ..quick walk to the beach. When I made our reservations, the staff was very nice and when we arrived the man at the desk was very friendly. The room was ok. Clean enough, but the rug could use a good scrub. And the ac was loud, but the worse part was that mold was clearly visible on the vent. My hubs is really sensitive to that so we kept the temp hi and on fan. It was a very muggy visit. We stayed 2 nights.
Was a great place for the price. Very clean to the eye.... But if they cleaned behind the beds and in places not visible to the eye they'd get 5+ stars.
On the 2nd night, a large group of frat boys stayed at the hotel for a bachelor party weekend. They started drinking early on the 2nd floor patio. They were loud and boisterous. They left for dinner, but returned shortly and partied loudly into the wee hours of the night. Mgnt has a sign at the office that they are on site, but at NO TIME did they think to ask these boys to quiet down. It was a pretty disruptive night.
Friendly family owned no frills motel. Room was clean especially given the abuse it had probably seen. Only negative was the bed, must have been 20 years old
Nearly right on the beach and right outside the town. Downside is there's only parking for one car, but you can pay 15$ for a spot right next to the hotel.
Been coming to Dewey Beach for over twenty five years and would not consider staying anywhere but the Bell Buoy. The rooms are exceptionally clean and comfortable and the owners and staff are some of the friendliest, most helpful people you will meet anywhere. When we tell people about Dewey Beach we tell them the Bell Buoy is where the need to stay.
